Hello
My name is Evan. I am currently reading Natural Sciences at St John's College at the University of Cambridge. I have been tutoring for over 2 years in a mix of online and in-person settings and with students spanning Years 9 to 14. I am passionate about helping students understand difficult topics and preparing successfully for their upcoming school exams.
My Story
I'm Evan, a Natural Sciences undergraduate at Cambridge and a private tutor in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Spanish. I’ve been tutoring for several years, helping students build confidence and clarity in subjects that often feel overwhelming. My approach is straightforward: clear communication, tailored support, and a focus on progress that actually feels good. Whether I’m designing onboarding materials or refining feedback forms, I care about making learning accessible and genuinely useful. This site brings together everything I offer — from lesson bookings to resources — built with students in mind.

My success in exams is a testament to the methods I use when teaching. At GCSE, I studied 11 GCSEs through my school: English Language, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Further Maths, Religious Studies, Geography, Spanish, and French. Independently, I learnt GCSE German and GCSE Italian, and sat all 13 GCSEs together in the summer of 2023, where I achieved a grade 9 in each. At A-level, I achieved 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, meeting my offer to study at Cambridge.

Electric guitar and drumming are my two biggest hobbies and I am particularly interested in heavy metal music. Since a friend introduced me to photography, I have been learning the ropes with my poor old Nikon COOLPIX P530 and enjoy photographing mainly landscapes and the night sky. With St John's College's Lady Margaret Boat Club, I row in the First Novice Men's Team (NM1) which I have found to be very exciting, particularly since I am new to the sport.
